"It is with great sadness, that we painfully announce the passing of Mrs Laura Gallant, our beloved Boarding Establishment Matron. For many years, Laura selflessly served our boarding girls and boys of St Nicholas Diocesan School, nurturing them with kindness, compassion and care. Her dedication to her role was unwavering, and her love for the children under her care was super amazing. She created a warm and welcoming environment, making every child feel seen, heard and valued in our school's boarding environment. Her maternal instincts and gentle guidance helped shape countless young lives, leaving a lasting impact on our St Nicholas family.![]()

Beyond her professional role at St Nicholas Diocesan School, Laura was a devoted wife to Father Eric Gallant, a loving mother to their three children, Cuan, Yolanda and Laurel and she was the most amazing grandmother to Tia, Azaria and Caliana. Her family was her joy and she cherished every moment spent with them.![]()

Laura's unwavering faith was a beacon of inspiration to all who knew her. Her devotion to her Christian beliefs was evident in every aspect of her life, and her kindness, empathy and compassion were a testament to her strong spiritual foundation.![]()

"Last week, we welcomed Trulife to our campus. Our Grade 8s received a very important workshop on Bullying and Cyber Safety, while the Grade 9s were treated to a play called DnA (Drugs and Alcohol). The lesson from both of these comes down to "who is the person I want to be and what story will I tell?". Thank you to Trulife for teaching our learners these important lessons."![]()
